How I work
I provide a safe, accepting and confidential space to allow the opportunity for you to explore your experiences. I am warm, empathetic and open to working with any issues you may wish to bring.
My integrative training means that I have studied a variety of therapeutic modalities and I aim to use the ones which will be best suited to you and what you feel comfortable with.
Our sessions together are collaborative and based around our therapeutic relationship. The space that I hold is one in which you can speak freely about anything on your mind, and I will offer reflections, ask questions to understand your experience and provide support. You and I can work together to identify and explore the thought and behaviour patterns that occur in your life. This may involve looking at your childhood experiences and relationships, and linking this to how you relate to others now.
Additional Experience
Alongside my private practice, I work with physically disabled adults. This has enabled me to have a greater understanding of ways to support individuals with disabilities. I work in a fully accessible room and am able to make any reasonable adjustments for accessibility needs if you make me aware of these upon enquiry.
I also have an artistic background and am a practising artist, therefore, I can offer creative exploration and an understanding of the difficulties people may face when trying to express themselves in a way they may not feel comfortable. If you are interested in working artistically, please let me know and we can incorporate this into our work.
