Finance Manager 

Our current finance manager is leaving us after 10 years, and we are seeking to appoint an engaged, ambitious and strategic Finance Manager with strong interpersonal, management and communications skills to play a key role, ensuring BCPC's continued growth and success. You will be part of a small, dedicated team where you can make a real difference.

Hours: Part time (30 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)

Salary: £46,500 pro rata

Location: BCPC, 1 Trim Bridge, Bath BA1 1HD

(Hybrid working available in discussion with the Director after the probation period.)

Role Summary

  • To be responsible for the financial sustainability and development of BCPC. The Finance Manager is responsible for the finance function of BCPC, including the processing of financial transactions, maintenance of financial records, BCPC bank accounts, the development and upkeep of financial controls and systems, operating the payroll and pension scheme, production of management accounts, budgets, forecasting and year end accounts.
  • Working closely with the Director, Chair and Board of Trustees ensuring the provision of key financial information to assist in strategic planning.
  • To provide high quality leadership and management of BCPC’s finance and business functions to enable BCPC to run smoothly, efficiently and effectively in the delivery of BCPC’s core aims.
  • To lead the promotion and delivery by the whole organisation of good financial management so that BCPC Funds are safeguarded at all times and used appropriately, economically, efficiently and effectively.
  • To act as Company Secretary for BCPC and to ensure compliance with Company and Charity Law duties and responsibility.
